MLM = Multi level Marketing

Janine Finney spent the first 30 years of her career as a sales executive in Corporate America. Then, at the age of 50, she embarked on a new endeavor that she never expected to pursue, Network Marketing.

A negative experience in the late 70’s,  left Janine feeling very “anti-Network Marketing/MLM”.  The last thing she ever expected was to become “one of those people”! 

It was Janine’s daughter, Lory, who caused her to revisit her beliefs about this topic.  After graduating from college, Lory quickly discovered that she was not cut out for the 9-to-5 world.  She craved freedom. 

When Lory heard about Network Marketing she immediately recognized it as the solution she’d been searching for.  Lory shared her “discovery” with her mom, and soon learned that her mom had a very different opinion about this business model than she expected. 

A battle ensued over their respective truths.  Janine decided to prove to her daughter how naïve she was being, and began doing her due diligence.  She discovered that a lot had changed in the past thirty years, and she suddenly realized how bigoted she had been about this topic.

Because of her own personal experience, Janine understands both sides of the debate over whether Network Marketing is good or bad. She “gets” the anger people feel who have been lied to and misled by a Network Marketer. Aside from politics and religion, there are not a lot of topics as contentious as Network Marketing. 

Many times strongly opposing views about a topic are caused by a lack of information.  Janine is fueled by a deep desire to create clarity by offering additional facts to help mitigate the hostility and divisiveness.

Network marketing is a very convoluted topic.  It is fraught with ½ truths, and lingering tales from past experiences, which make it challenging to discern what is real, and what is false.  Janine believes that there’s never been a more important time for people who are searching for freedom and flexibility to have an accurate understanding about this “virtual business in a box” concept.

Inspired by their own experience, Janine and Lory co-authored two books to help bring clarity to the topic of Network Marketing.  “The Flip Flop CEO” and “Does the Shoe Fit?” provide a fun, sassy, and up-to-date look at what this business model is, and is not. 

While Janine is not among the top “rock star income earners” as many of the people featured in her books, she has experienced first-hand, some of the unique perks that a Network Marketing business offers.  She’s earned the company car bonus for several years that completely paid for her Mercedes Benz, multiple paid vacations that she enjoyed with her daughter, and the benefit of having built a recurring income stream.

Now that she’s experienced, personally, that this business model does work, is fair, and is real, she feels compelled to share what she’s learned with others.
